Crownthorpe, trained by Richard Fahey, was a convincing winner of the seven furlong nursery at Sandown this afternoon. Staying on well at the finish he put some very nice prospects in their place to collect the £5,800 first place prizemoney.
Monsieur Glory was another winner for stallion Monsieur Bond this afternoon at Bath. Ridden by Pat Cosgrave and trained by Tom Clover he ran out winner of the Molson Group Handicap over an extended 1m 3f, showing the versatility of Monsieur Bond’s offspring.
Kinloch Pride was a winner at Musselburgh today at odds of 20/1. The five year old daughter of Pride of Kinloch (pictured above at Norton Grove Stud in July) won the fifth race of her career for trainer Noel Wilson.
Ladies are Forever’s first foal, born at Norton Grove, was sold at the Goffs UK yearling sale today for £180,000.
Bred by owner Reg Bond (Bond Thoroughbred Corporation) she became the first Frankel yearling to be sold at Goffs UK. Ladies Are Forever is a full sister to Hoof It (winner of the Stewards Cup and the Stewards Sprint) and Forever’s Girl both winning Monsieur Bond also half sister to two more winners. Monsieur Jimmy won the Nottingham Post On Facebook Handicap at Southwell in convincing style this afternoon. Ridden by Stevie Donohoe he passed the post six lengths clear to record another winner for Monsieur Bond.
Miracle of Medinah was a winner for Norton Grove stallion Milk It Mick, taking the Prix des Rouges at Deauville, worth over £14,000. This was the fifth win of his career. Trained by Mark Usher and ridden by Theo Bachelot he beat the odds on favourite Absalon by half a length. His last victory bad come in 2013 when he won the Group 3 Somerville Tattersall Stakes at Newmarket. Congratulations to all connections.
