Byron’s Choice, a son of Norton Grove Stud resident Byrony (pictured), was a winner at York this afternoon. The son of Poet’s Voice was completing a hat-trick when he took the Gough & Kelly Apprentice handicap on the Knavesmire for trainer Michael Dods.
Roy’s Dream, by Monsieur Bond out of Velvet Jaguar, born at Norton Grove and now owned by ex-Norton Grove employee Alison Pickering won at Carlisle this evening. It was his third career victory.
The Ruth Carr-trained gelding Ower Fly, a son of Norton Grove’s Pastoral Pursuits, won the Richard II Handicap at Pontefract today. It was his sixth career win as he carried top weight to collect the first prize of almost £10,000.
Bit Of A Quirke was a winner yet again at Beverley this afternoon for Monsieur Bond. He is becoming a real Beverley specialist and was recording his fifth career win, every one of those coming at the East Yorkshire track.
Our Little Pony, who was foaled at Norton Grove Stud out of the mare Cracking Lass was a winner this evening at Beverley.
Major Crispies scored in style for Norton Grove stallion Pastoral Pursuits at Beverley tonight. The David O’Meara trained gelding won the seller by ten lengths and the performance saw him purchased for 6,200 guineas after the race.
Rene Mathis, trained by Richard Fahey, notched up his eighth career win at Chaster today. The son of Monsieur Bond was scoring on owner Marwan Koukash’s local track and landed a gamble when backed from 9/4 into 13/8 favourite.
The past week has seen Mick Easterby send out two Norton Grove Stud foaled winners. In 2016 we foaled Lady Lavina (pictured), out of the mare El Molino Blanco, and she was a winner at Redcar last Friday.
Where’s Jeff, who was foaled here in 2015 out of the mare Piece of Magic, was also a winner at Newcastle this afternoon.
