Bounty Pursuit, a son of Pastoral Pursuits, was a winner of the Quorn Handicap at Leicester this evening continuing the good run of form by the Norton Grove stallion.
Kibaar, a son of Norton Grove’s Pastoral Pursuits, secured his fourth career win today at Ayr. Trained by Ruth Carr he comfortably won the Southerness Holiday Park Handicap over five furlongs. Also a winner on the Ayr card was two year old Roderick, trained by Richard Fahey. On a day that saw nine Pastoral Pursuits runners, Flowing Clarets was also runner up at Lingfield.
Classic Pursuit was a scorer for Norton Grove’s Pastoral Pursuits at Pontefract today. The seven year old won the Fly High Faye Nickels Handicap ridden by Silvestre de Sousa. Also at Pontefract Sempre Presto, owned by Helen and Norman Steel, was runner up in the twelve furlong ITV7 Starts Now Handicap. Sempre Presto was a Norton Grove resident as a foal until she went into training with Richard Fahey.
Flying Pursuit, a son of Norton Grove’s Pastoral Pursuits, won the £30,000 Skybet Dash Handicap at York this afternoon. Trained by Tim Easterby and ridden by Nathan Evans he defeated stablemate Golden Apollo by a neck in a thrilling finish.
At Newcastle Billy Bond, trained by Richard Fahey, was a winner for Norton Grove’s Monsieur Bond.
Bit Of A Quirke made it a four timer this afternoon by winning at Chester. The son of Monsieur Bond was proving that he can win on courses besides Beverley where his previous five career victories had come.
Roy’s Dream, by Monsieur Bond out of Velvet Jaguar, born at Norton Grove and now owned by ex-Norton Grove employee Alison Pickering won at Carlisle this evening. It was his third career victory.
The Ruth Carr-trained gelding Ower Fly, a son of Norton Grove’s Pastoral Pursuits, won the Richard II Handicap at Pontefract today. It was his sixth career win as he carried top weight to collect the first prize of almost £10,000.
