Champagne Monday was bred by Yvette Dixon, mother of trainer Scott Dixon and owner of Milk it Mick. He was foaled by us here at Norton Grove. Michael Appleby’s Classic Pursuit also won for the eleventh time in his career this afternoon. The son of Pastoral Pursuits has now earned over £60,000 in prizemoney. Pastoral Pursuits sired Casterbridge finished third. A third Norton Grove winner came in the shape of Love Rat, who was foaled at Norton Grove and owned by Jilly Cooper. Love Rat is from the same family of winning horses Crosse Fire, Misu Moneypenny and Soie D’leau is grandson to their dam.
